The Art of Public Relations & Communications

Bangladesh Public Relations Association (BPRA) is the only and oldest platform for the officials working in public relations, communications and branding of various government, semi-government, non-government organization, autonomous institution, private institution, foreign institutions working in Bangladesh and so on. BPRA started its journey on 22 July 1979 with the aim to establishing public relations as a prestigious profession. There were only few dedicated public relations professionals who worked hard at the beginning for the establishment of BPRA. With the passage of time, BPRA has turned into a vast organization of thousands of members across the country.

The arena of public relations has expanded multifold. Since its inception, BPRA has been significantly contributing to build effective relations between organizations and target audience. The goodwill and smooth functioning of an organization greatly depends on the competency of public relation department. Today it is observed that even the hospitals, e-commerce sites in the country also engage public relation professional. This is a clear sign of the growing necessity of expertise in public relations.

BPRA regularly conducts seminars, symposiums and conferences among the members to build capacity, develop skill, create expertise in the field. The association also provides advice to different organizations on particular issues. It is also widely engaged in humanitarian activities to improve the lives of the helpless and distressed.

BPRA always promotes the art of persuasion, negotiation, relation. Public relations, as a profession, is not only an integral part of organizations but also earns prestige for the professionals.
